Most American smokers would smoke weed with their grandparents: survey
As legalization efforts increase in the country, an American company has taken a look at Americans' cannabis habits. A recent survey found that 60% of cannabis users said they would use it with their grandparents.
In a recent survey conducted by cannabis edibles brand Azuca, 60% of respondents said they used cannabis with a grandparent, according to the company's press release.
THEinvestigation The Americans and Cannabis Consumption Survey was conducted online with 1089 participants; the results were weighted to reflect the gender and age distribution of the population aged 18 to 60. More than half of the respondents were cannabis users.
In the survey, capsules emerged as the preferred method of consumption, more than half, 52% of cannabis users said they preferred capsules to smoke (39%) or vaping (22%). In addition, 53% said they had increased their consumption edibles during the pandemic, but they wish their effects were felt more quickly. Note, 62% of users prefer edibles that do not taste too much like cannabis. The survey found that 17% of the cohort of consumers attracted to drinks and only 13% preferred topicals for their cannabinoid consumption.
70% of participants said they knew the difference between THC and CBD. 45% said they knew what micro-dosing was and how to do it. Additionally, 58% believe cannabis is the future of pain management. The study also found that 64% of cannabis users use it for relaxation, 40% to manage pain, 43% to help sleep, 37% for health and well-being, and 39% for recreation. .

The survey found that more than half of Americans have never used cannabis. Of those who have consumed it, 28% are daily consumers. The press release suggests that almost a third of cannabis users think it is okay to use cannabis at work. Finally, the survey found that a majority of consumers, 60%, would buy more expensive cannabis from a dispensary rather than cheaper cannabis from the illicit market.
