How to make cannabis caramels: Recipe and instructions
Caramel is one of the most common foods we can make at home. It is delicious and easy to prepare. In addition, it goes very well with many other things, such as cookies, brownies or other treats.
To make a cannabis caramel, you must first make Marrakech butter.
There are many ways to make cannabis infused caramels, but it's a special recipe.
To make cannabis caramels, you will need the following:
- Baking dish
- Baking paper
- Medium to large saucepan
- 1 bowl (250 ml) of cannabis butter
- 2 * 1 / 4 cup (about 60 ml) of brown sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup of light corn syrup where cane syrup
- 40 CL sweetened condensed milk (canned)
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Once you have gathered all these elements, it's time to start the caramel manufacturing process, which usually takes about 30 minutes from start to finish.
9 easy steps
1.) Melt the cannabis butter in the pan over medium heat. You can settle for a smaller pan, but it's good to have enough space to stir. The mixture will eventually become quite difficult to stir, so it is beneficial to have more space to work.
2.) Once the butter has melted in the pan, add the brown sugar and salt, stirring until well combined.
3.) Stir in the corn syrup or cane syrup.
4.) Add the sweetened condensed milk, stirring all the time. This is where things can get tough. You want to continue cooking the mixture over medium heat until it hardens. Close how? This is the tricky part. It usually takes between 12 and 15 minutes, the final product being firmer as you cook it. Firmness does not affect the taste or potency of the caramel, but it does determine the consistency of the final product.
Let it go closer to 15 minutes, which gives a semi-hard candy. If you leave it for 12 minutes, you will get a softer caramel, easier to chop and put in other treats.
5.) While cooking, line the Oven dish with parchment paper. Many caramel recipes simply say to spray with an oil spray to facilitate the extraction of the caramel. Garnishing the dish with parchment paper greatly facilitates the extraction of the caramel once it has cooled.
6.) When you get the desired firmness, remove the burner pan from the range.
7.) Add the vanilla extract, making sure it is well mixed.
8.) Pour it into the dish lined with parchment paper and let it cool. Once cooled, you will still have a huge plate of cannabis caramel.
9.) Cut it into the size you prefer and enjoy!
Keep your caramel in the refrigerator. The caramel is very soft, and even a semi-hot day will melt the caramel.
