Editor's Tip: The easiest way to hold the parchment paper is to cut two sheets of parchment paper the width of the brownie pan. Place a foil in the pan, scraping the corners to help it stay in place. Add a second sheet perpendicular to the first to cover all four sides of the mold.
Step 2 : Melt the butter
In a glass bowl, prepare your base. In your bowl, incorporate the cane sugar, cbd butter, cocoa powder and salt. If you are using your cbd oil replace cbd butter with plain butter or regular oil. Place your bowl in a double boiler by placing it in a pot of boiling water and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally until your CBD butter is completely melted.
Remove the bowl from the heat and let cool until the mixture is just hot. Don't worry if the texture is slightly grainy; it will be smooth again when you make the brownie batter.
Step 3 : Mix the dough
If you are using CBD oil, add the appropriate number of drops to the hot butter mixture and stir to combine. Add the vanilla and eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each addition. Finish by adding the flour and beating the dough vigorously for 40 strokes until the mixture is smooth and shiny. Stir in nuts (if using).
Step 4 : Cooking
Transfer the dough to the prepared pan and smooth the top to create an even layer. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center is slightly moist with the dough. To make sure the brownies are finished, look for other visual cues: The center should be firm and should not move when you shake the pan, and there should be signs of cracking on the top.
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
Step 5 : Cut the brownies
