Green Growth Brands Announces Expansion with Abercrombie & Fitch
Abercrombie & Fitch Expands Partnership with Ohio-based Green Growth Brands (GGB) Cannabis Company and Sells CBD Products, Including Body Lotions, Sugar Scrubs, Lip Balms and Lip Balm muscles in more than 160 of its 250 stores.
The teen clothing retailer had already done a test in May with the GGB company selling items from its Botanical Therapy line Seventh Sense Botanical Therapy in 10 Abercrombie stores. This is the second GGB major wholesale agreement since the adoption of the 2018 Agricultural Law (Farm Bill) in December, which legalized the production of hemp.
Abercrombie & Fitch is just one of many other retailers involved in the CBD craze, following companies such as CVS, Ulta Beauty and Walgreens. While the Barney's chain of luxury department stores opened a "lifestyle cannabis store" earlier this year in its Beverly Hills store, called "The High End", which sells vaporizer and tablet pens.
Abercrombrie plans to sell CBD body care products, including lip balms and sugar scrubs, from the cannabis company, in addition to 160's 250 stores and more.
CBD does not attract users like THC. Nevertheless, some people, including regulators, are concerned about the potential unintended consequences of marketing cannabis products to minors.
