With the changes in law, Col'Cacchio, one of the largest Italian-inspired restaurant franchise groups, has announced the launch of the first Cannabis pizza line in South Africa, which will be available in some Col'Cacchio restaurants today, 25 June 2019.

Following the historic announcement made in recent weeks by the Ministry of Health, Cannabidiol (CBD) can now be legally purchased in South Africa. Col'Cacchio and africanpure have been busy working tirelessly behind the scenes to get past the history of cannabis in South Africa.

Col'Cacchio continues to strengthen its presence as one of South Africa's most innovative food and beverage brands, with healthy cuisine at the heart of its offering. The brand was one of the first to introduce gluten-free, low-calorie, Banting / carbohydrate conscious and vegan alternatives into its menu, and will now be the first restaurant brand to offer cannabis.

The Col'Cacchio menu will include two Cannabis-inspired gourmet pizzas, the Green Goddess (pictured above) and the Mary Jane (below), which will be sold at retail. The two iconic pizzas will be sprinkled with pure African CBD oil that does not contain THC or synthetic chemicals, making it absolutely safe to eat. Guests can also add CBD oil to any other dish on the Col'Cacchio menu for a fee.

"At Col'Cacchio, we have always wanted to innovate with our menu offer and provide our loyal fans with the latest positive trends in health. We are extremely proud to be the first restaurant in South Africa to launch a cannabis pizza and we are looking forward to seeing new and old faces in our restaurants to try this new range, "says co-founder co-founder Kinga Baranowska. of Col'Cacchio.

"We are really excited to be at the forefront of cannabis history in South Africa and to work with one of the most innovative franchised restaurant groups in the country. Col'Cacchio is a prime example of what we strive to achieve as an African, using only the best ingredients and providing healthy and accessible products to all our customers. We are certain that the new cannabis supply at Col'Cacchio will be a great success, "says Mike Saunders, co-founder of Africapur.

The new range of Cannabis pizzas will be available in all Col'Cacchio restaurants, with the exception of halal restaurants.
