Irish Health Minister Urges Farmers in Difficulty to Grow Cannabis for Medical Purposes

Irish Health Minister Simon Harris has suggested that Irish farmers could provide cannabis for medical purposes. Currently agriculture in Ireland is suffering economic damage, cannabis cultivation would be a long-term solution.

The Irish Farmers' Association told TheJournal.ie that she was ready to meet the Irish Minister of Health, Simon Harris, about her comments on the possibility of Irish farmers growing cannabis for medical purposes.

Two years ago, the Irish government announced a cannabis supply program for the treatment of multiple sclerosis. But also to people suffering from nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy.
